Azerbaijan counts parliamentary polling stations with annulled results

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. The voting results in 46 polling stations in the snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan were cancelled, Trend reports via the final protocol of the country's Central Election Commission (CEC).

The results in three polling stations were cancelled by the district election commissions, in 43 by the CEC.

Out of 43 polling stations, decisions on 20 were made at today's meeting of the CEC.

The snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1.

A total of 112,749 local observers were registered, including over 65,000 representatives of political parties. There were 598 international observers from 51 organizations and 69 countries.

Among the 990 registered candidates, 305 represented 25 political parties, while 371 were party members but were not nominated by their parties. In total, 676 candidates were affiliated with political parties.
