BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. The Azerbaijani parliament has dissolved the working group on interparliamentary relations with France, Trend reports.
In today's parliamentary session, the working group on inter-parliamentary relations with France was omitted from the proposed law concerning the election of leaders of working groups in the Azerbaijani parliament.
The Azerbaijani parliament made this decision based on the principle of reciprocity: last year, the French parliament dissolved the France-Azerbaijan friendship group.
This year, both France and Azerbaijan held new parliamentary elections. The newly elected French parliament decided not to reestablish the friendship group with Azerbaijan, and in response, Azerbaijan did the same.
