Iran cuts back on Kazakh imports at beginning of year
Iran’s imports from Kazakhstan dropped by more than half in value and nearly 40 percent in volume over a two-month span, driven by a sharp decline in shipments of grain and equipment. Total trade between the two countries also contracted significantly, reflecting broader shifts in Iran’s import strategy.
