BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. The Azerbaijani Embassy in Syria has resumed its operations, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Meanwhile, it is announced that the Embassy's Charge d'Affaires has already been dispatched to Damascus for this purpose and has started work.
“The Republic of Azerbaijan supports the establishment of lasting peace and stability in Syria based on the principles of international law.
“In this important period, when friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Syria have entered a qualitatively new stage and new opportunities have emerged for the development of partnership in political, economic, cultural, and other spheres, the Azerbaijani embassy will support the development of bilateral relations through close cooperation with the transitional government of Syria,” the statement of the MFA reads.
