PACE SUB-COMMITTEE ON REFUGEES TO HOLD A WORKSHOP

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) sub-committee on refugees will hold a seminar on �Population, IDPs in South Caucasus’in Baku on 4 July.

The seminar with politicians, experts, representatives of international organizations will focus on exchange of opinions on assistance to refugees, preservation of their rights, captives and missing people, as well as ways for fighting human trafficking.

Besides, the intergovernmental cooperation and strengthening of relationships with the international organizations will be discussed in the example of Balkan countries.

The seminar is held under PACE program on support to South Caucasus parliaments.

On the eve of the workshop the chairman of the PACE sub-committee on refugees, Ruth-Gabi Vermot-Mongold (Switzerland), and the rapporteur on refugees in South Caucasus, Boris Kliyevich (Latvia) will tour the refugee camps in Fizuli, Saatly and Sabirabad districts of Azerbaijan.
