AZERI, PAKISTANI INTERIOR MINISTER TO SIGN JOINT STATEMENT ON INTENTION OF CO-OP

Aftab Sherpao, the Pakistani Interior Minister, started an official visit to Azerbaijan on Thursday. The Pakistani embassy in Baku told Trend that the visit targets development of bilateral cooperation in the sphere of international and organized crime, interaction infighting arms and drug trafficking.

The visit program includes meeting with the Interior Minister, Ramil Usubov, the Minister for National Security, Eldar Mahmudov, the Justice Minister, Fikret Mammadov. President Ilham Aliyev is also expected to receive the Pakistani Minister.

Mehrab Tukanov, the acting head of the International Cooperation Department of the Interior Ministry, told Trend that during the visit to last 10 July the two minister plan to sign a joint statement. The document will reflect further intention of he sides for promoting the cooperation.
