The Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (SDPA) will lodge a complaint against the sentence of the Prosecutor General on execution of verdict on arrest of Ayaz Muttalibov balloting in the parliamentary elections, Araz Alizada, the co-chairman of the party, told Trend.
He noted that the instructions given to the Ministry of Internal Affairs by the Prosecutor General on 6 September was illegal. The sentence of the Prosecutor General’s Office is contradictory. “The message says that the Nasimi district court made a sentence in regard to Muttalibov in 2003. It was fully unexpected for us.
In accordance with the Procedural Criminal Code, the sentence in regard to defendant is made by the court on the place of residence and work. Muttalibov did not live in the territory of the Nasimi district,” Alizada underlined.
Besides, he stressed that the sentence did not show what crime was committed by Muttalibov in this territory. He added that they would also lodge a complaint against the verdict of the Nasimi district court. Mutalibov concluded a contract with lawyer Fuad Agayev in relation to the legal cases.
