AZERBAIJAN TO PUT FORWARD AT UN ISSUE ON ILLEGAL DRUG PLANTING IN ITS TERRITORY UNDER OCCUPIED

Azerbaijan will put forward an issue on illegal drug planting in its occupied territory under Armenian occupation at the 40th session of the UN sub-committee on drugs trafficking and issues concerning it in the Mear and Middle, which is held in Baku from Monday to Friday, Ali Hassanov, Azerbaijani Deputy Premier, also the head of the State Commission on drug enforcement, told Trend on Monday.

According to Hassanov, Azerbaijan should voice its concerns in such an important meeting on illegal spread of drugs in the region and its negative impact on the future generation.

Hassanov noted that the negative impact of spread of drugs directly damages the political, economic and public stability. UN member-countries should strengthen the attention to the issue.
