Turkish FM issues statement on results of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan

Investigation into the facts of violations of elections legislation on the elections day in Azerbaijan on 6 November would be profitable, a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on the November Milli Majlis elections.

“Taking into consideration the steps directed at the conduct of transparent parliamentary elections, they can be regarded a considerable proximity to international standards. Turkey is for investigation and resolution of all issues linked with the law-breaks while considering the complaints,” the statement underlined.

The document also underlines that facts of law-breaks, fixed in some constituencies must be resolved during the consideration of appeals.

“Turkey, as a fraternal country to Azerbaijan, hopes that the parliamentary elections will contribute in strengthening the democracy and stability in Azerbaijan. We believe that all political parties should direct their efforts at the strengthening of modern and prosperous Azerbaijan, with full understanding of responsibility,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
