Consultative Council makes a decision on cancellation of elections

“The Consultative Concil of Pro-Governmental Parties made a decision on cancellation of the results of the 6 November parliamentary lections held in Azerbaijan,” Mammad Alizada, the chairman of the Council, told Trend.

Alizada noted that despite some violations the Consultative Council considered that the elections were democratic and transparent. “The 11 May 2005 President’s decree related to the elections gave ground to ensure transparency at election stations. The organization highly appreciates resignation of the heads of the execution powers for interference into the elections,” he stressed.

It should be mentioned that the desicion made by the Consultative Coucil on democratic organization of the elections was signed by 10 parties.
