President of Azerbaijan attended construction site of Diagnostic Centre in NAR

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the construction site of the Diagnostic Centre on 19 December 2005 in the Nakhchevan Autonomous Republic (NAR). According to the Trend regional correspondent, the chairman of the NAR Supreme Mejlis Vasif Talibov spoke at the event, followed by the speech of the Azerbaijan’s president Ilham Aliyev. Having welcomed the residents of NAR, the president noted, despite the blockade, NAR is rapidly developing.

The Diagnostic Centre will be built and commissioned during the year. The heart surgery and kidney transplantation will be held at the Centre. The Diagnostic Centre’s construction is implemented on the instructions of the president and funded by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

The Centre is designed for 30-35 beds, it consists of the hall, the ambulance, urology units, auditorium, stationary unit, the unit for the general reanimation, the administrative unit, surgery and reanimation departments and the conference halls.
