Etibar Mammadov leads the members of the party, who are discontented with me, Ali Aliyev, the chairman of the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP), said to a news conference held on 5 January, Trend reports.
Some members of the political council of the party accused Aliyev of the violation of the ANIPs regulations and activities aimed at causing damage to the interests of the party, as well as raised issue of no confident.
Aliyev said that Etibar Mammadov, the leader of ANIP, did not allow him to act freely as chairman of the party and impeded him. According to Aliyev, some members of the party seek for return of Arzukhan Alizade to the post of Secretary General, as well as participation in the by-elections. These facts are reason for the confrontation in the party.
He also stressed that one more reason for confrontation was regionalism factor. ANIP wont split during my chairmanship, Aliyev stressed.
