The 7-th session of the DemocraticParty of Azerbaijan (DPA) supreme mejlis was held on 12 February. 10 issues were included into the agenda, Trend reports.
The issues of approval of powers of the supreme mejlis new members, address of the DPA chairman Rasul Guliyev, his publications on the socio- political situation in Azerbaijan, in the Baku-Habar newspaper, impediments he encountered during his attempts to come back to Azerbaijan on 17 October 2005, the statement of the supreme mejlis over the situation in the country after that event, the partys decision on non-participation in by-elections to the Parliament, the partys activities and future tasks, the results of the 2005 parliamentary elections, the situation which arose at the DPA regional branches and other points were put on discussion.
The issue of giving the vote of confidence to the supreme mejlis chairman Akif Shahbazov was put on the voting, on the result of which Shahbazov was elected the chairman of supreme mejlis again.
