Azeri President receives delegation of Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations

Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, received the delegation of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations led by Harold Tanner on Monday.

Tanner stated that existence of constantan tolerance and very good conditions for the representatives of all nations and religious communities in Azerbaijan. We are very

enthusiastic about attitude to the Jewish community in the country, where the majority of the population is Moslems, he said. In this point of view the Israeli guest expressed satisfaction with the conditions established for the Jewish community. According to Tanner, Azerbaijan is the country representing strategic importance to the world community. It also established close relations with the USA. Tanner conveyed message of the Israeli President, expressing hope in the further development of the bilateral ties for interests of the nations.

In his turn, Aliyev highly appreciated the visit of the delegation of Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations to Baku. According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan and the USA are the allies, which come out as partners in the world and regional issues. He said that very favorable conditions were established for co-existence in Azerbaijan and the representatives of all nations were citizens with equal rights, living in friendly conditions.
