President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, a UNESCO Good Will Ambassador, the first lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva has been awarded the gold medal of the World Organization on Intellectual Property (WOIP), Trend reports.
At the medal presenting ceremony in Baku the WOIP general director Kamil Idris said, prior to his visit in Baku he has learned about the charitable activities of the Azerbaijans first lady, development of very important projects in science, literature, culture, education, healthcare and other spheres. According to him, only very intellectual people, who have contributed significantly to preserving cultural and spiritual values and practically facilitated to this matter are honoured the gold medal.
Mehriban Aliyeva thanked the WOIP general director for kind words and the high award.
