There are no Azerbaijani citizens among the earthquake victims in Iran, the Azerbaijani ambassador in Iran, Abbasali Hasanov told Trend.
At least 70 persons died and more than 1000 were injured as a result of a number of earthquakes at the West of Iran on March 31. The earthquake, which has reached 6 points on the Richter scale, shook inaccessible villages located between the industrial cities Durud and Borudjerd in Lurestan district.
The Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev has already expressed his condolence to his Iranian counterpart regarding this natural disaster, the ambassador said.
