Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani President, has congratulated the collective and members of the Audit Chamber on 10th annivrsary of the body.
The Audit Chamber, established at the initiative of Ex-President Heydar Aliyev, is an independent body of financial control, Trend reports referring to a news release by the press service of the Presidents Apparat.
The Azerbaijani audit institute, recognized as a civil form of financial control in the world, is directly related to overhaul development of the economic relations of the republic on the base of market principles and freedom of entrepreneurship.
The economic development of Azerbaijan and strengthening of the countrys integration to the world economy system generates necessity of ensuring of transparency of the financial-economic relations and wider use of audit in the struggle with corruption and economic criminality. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen independent financial control institute, studying world practice in this sphere taking into consideration national peculiarity of Azerbaijan.
Improvement of audit system on the base of world experience and ensuring of financial transparency in economy, as well as purposeful use of budgetary funds serve to strengthening of the economic power of Azerbaijan.
