The Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev accepted the Austrian Supreme court chairman, Johan Jeshut on April 10, Trend reports.
The president stated that Azerbaijani- Austrian cooperation in different areas is developing actively. Unification of the Azerbaijani court system by the European standards is
an important step and several positive changes have been achieved after the country entered the Council of Europe. He has expressed his hope that the current visit will make a positive contribution in cooperation between the judicial bodies of the two countries.
Jeshut has emphasized the importance of judicial reforms in Azerbaijan after the entering of the Council of Europe. He expressed confidence that the cooperation of the two judicial systems on bilateral basis will further expand and develop.
