There are double standards on democracy and human rights in some NGOs in Azerbaijan, Ana Veten party chairman, MP, Fazil Agamali told Trend, commenting the recent Freedom House report in Azerbaijan.
Its last report states that there is no democracy in Azerbaijan and both human rights and freedom of speech are violated.
Agamali told that achievements in democracy development in Azerbaijan were not mentioned in the report. It is true that there violations of human rights in Azerbaijan. But we are working in that direction, he assured. Such organizations as Freedom House base their reports basing them on data from opposition and anti-governmental NGOs, he added.
Azerbaijan is a leader in all areas in South Caucasus, he said. The aim of those NGOs who want to shadow our achievements is clear, Agamali concluded.
