The chairman of the Milli Mejlis (MM) (National Parliament) Ogtay Asadov, who participates at the summit of the Council of Europe member-countries parliament heads in Helsinki, met with the deputy chairman of the Rumanian Senate Teadro Melshkan. The meeting covered the issues related to the future development of the Azerbaijan-Riemannian relations, Trend reports.
There are huge potentials for the development of the economical cooperation, and both countries should benefit by these opportunities. At the moment, Azerbaijan is leader in the Southern Caucasus from the economical standpoint, as well as the guarantee of the security in this region. Rumania takes a great interest in the large-scale economical projects realized in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, there was held exchange of opinions related to the future development of inter-parliamentary relations, as well as expected visit of Ogtay Asadov to Rumania and other questions.
