Report of PACE On missing people in countries of South Caucasus to be discussed at January 2007 session

The report project of PACE On missing people in countries of South Caucasus will be ready until the fall of 2006, but the result of the document will be discussed at the PACE session in January of 2007, Leo Platvoet (the Netherlands), the reporter of PACE on missing people in countries of South Caucasus, made such a statement at a press-conference in Baku on June 9,Trend reports.

The reporter spoke about the satisfactory talks held in Yerevan and Baku, noting that his report will reflect the necessity to establish special structures consisting of

the representatives of state committees of Azerbaijan and Armenia involved in work for missing people.

Platvoet noted that the activity of the new structures will be organized on base of experiences of International Red Crescent Organization.

It was stated that the report would include recommendations forwarded to each countries of South Caucasus.

Besides, Platvoet noted that the list of Azerbaijani missing people consists of 4700 persons while this number in Armenia is 940.
