On July 26, the chairman of Milli Majlis [Azerbaijani Parliament] Oktay Asadov met with the advisor of the president of United Arabic Emirates (UAE) for religious issues Ali Bin as-Seyid Abdurahman al Hashim who is in Azerbaijan with a visit, Trend reports with reference to the press-service of the parliament.
The speaker informed about the prospects of the development of friendly relations between the two countries and stressed that such visits serve further development and strengthening of relations.
Asadov expressed his gratitude to the head of UAE for supporting the true position of Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and providing assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons of Azerbaijan.
Mentioning his satisfaction with the development of inter-parliamentary relations, Asadov pointed out that the friendly groups created in legislative organs of the two countries play an important role in this sphere.
Ali Bin as-Seyid Abdurahman al Hashim told that he arrived in Azerbaijan with the invitation of the chairman of Caucasian Moslems Department and expressed his satisfaction with the visit. According to him, there is a great potential to develop the relation between the two countries and mutual visits further develop the relations. The visit aims to exchange views on all-rounded development of relations.
