Time to Change Material Values into Human Capital, Azeri President
On 15 September Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of a new secondary school in Zabrat Village of Sabunchi District on the outskirts of Baku, Trend reports. In his address, the Head of State noted that a resolution on the opening of this school, the foundation of which was laid in April 2006, was taken at a meeting dedicated to the development of a program to develop Baku.
The President also noted that while the program to develop regions in the country was successfully implemented, problems in Baku and its villages has been neglected. It was resolved to adopt a special program for the development of Baku and its villages. This has been successfully implemented and the construction and opening of this school is testimony of that success. Aliyev remarked.
In 2007-2008 it is planned to equip all Azerbaijan schools with computers and internet access.
The President stressed that over the next two years of implementation of the program in Azerbaijan, the living conditions should be improved considerably. At present comprehensive development is observed in the Country, he assured.
It is time to change our material values into human capital and to develop Azerbaijan the Head of State stressed.
He noted that at present major investments are made in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan and the income obtained from the projects are directed at the improving education, health and new technology.
