Poland intends to importantly expand the commercial and economical co-operation with Azerbaijan, the Adviser of the Polish Embassy in Azerbaijan Voysekh Gureski said, Trend reports.
According to him, last year the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $50-60 mln. According to the statistics to the Azerbaijani, this figure is lower. There are several problems in the sphere of communication between the two countries and many Polish commodities are delivered to Azerbaijan through Russia, and not directly, the diplomat underlined. Polish companies are interested in establishing direct relations with Azerbaijan.
According to the diplomat, Azerbaijan, which achieved the highest indicator for economic growth among CIS countries in part with Kazakhstan and Russia, is a territory of the largest foreign investments for the Polish entrepreneurs. The Polish entrepreneurs understand that the economical growth of Azerbaijan is the result of the stable political situation and held market reforms.
