From January 1, 2007, all local televisions and radios will stop retransmission of the foreign TV and radio channels in their frequencies, Ali Hasanov, the Head of the Social-Political Department of the Executive Apparat of the Azerbaijani President, briefed the media, Trend reports. According to him, it is impossible to mix the frequencies for the transmission of local and foreign channels. If the foreign channels wish to be transmitted in Azerbaijan, they will be presented with separate frequencies, Hasanov said.
