The first congress of international public youth organizations the Youth Forum of GUAM will be held in Baku on 29-30 November 2006, Trend reports citing Ragif Abbasov, the spokesmen for the Ministry of Youth & Sports. The gathering will bring together all member countries of the organization, Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova.
Each country will send 8 delegates to the forum. The delegates are scheduled to arrive in Baku on 28 November.
On 29 November at 10:00 the participants at the forum will pay tribute at the Cemetery of Martyrs and Cemetery of Honors. At 11.30 the delegation will visit the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. On the same day the Hyatt Regency Hotel will host the opening of a congress at 15.00.
Abbasov said that the agenda includes the development of a final modification of the Charter of the GUAM Forum of Youth Organizations, the development of an action Plan and mechanism for co-operation of the Forum. On 30 November the Congress will elect the chairman, deputy chairmen and the General Secretary of the Forum, the development of a resolution on the Congress, appeals to heads of states and parliamentary of the GUAM member states, as well as the Declaration.
At 15.00 the Congress will finalize its work with the signing of several documents, namely the Charter, Resolution and Statement.
