The Education Ministry of Azerbaijan is continuing taking radical measures with regard to the directors of schools demonstrating low level of knowledge, the Azerbaijani Education Minister, Misir Mardanov, said at a Press-Conference on November 27, Trend reports.
According to the Minister, eight school directors who allowed shortfalls in the activities have already been dismissed from their positions. Relevant decisions were made after the inspection held jointly by the Azerbaijani Education Ministry and Baku Education Department at 42 schools of Baku.
The shortfalls include weak control on the teaching process, low level of the attendance of the students. The Ministry announced severe reprimands and final warning to the directors of 7 schools, and the directors of 10 schools received reprimands and warnings.
According to the Minister, the results of the tests entrance examinations in 11th grade of several schools became unsatisfactory. The level of knowledge of the students of secondary schools #163 and #165 of Sabail and Khatai districts of Baku city made up only 2-5%. The Education Ministry intends to take radical measures in relation with the directors of these schools, the Minister said.
