The matter concerns the suspension of the activity of the opposition in the country, but not the dissolution of Azadlig Bloc,, Ali Karimli, Chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party, one of the Founders of opposition bloc Azadlig, told Trend.

Yesterday, the opposition party held a regular meeting where they discussed issues of the joint cooperation of the opposition. According to Mr. Karimli, the opposition thinks how to solve its problems and keep its struggle. The registration of 40-50 parties in the Justice Ministry of the Country is not a sign of democracy. Political parties should normally work, prepare for election campaigns, meet their electorate, and freely gather. It is becoming evident now that the parties should not function in the office conditions. We have found the Coordination Council for Protecting the Freedom of Word and Media, said Mr. Karimli.

Avaz Tamirkhan, acting Chairman of the Liberal party of the Country, said that now forms of the joint struggle of the opposition parties are becoming to shape up. He said that Azadlig would not suspend its activity.

Ayaz Rustamov, Chairman of the national Independence Party of Azerbaijan, said that they did not want to found either an organization or a coalition. In order to want the unity of the opposition , we should advocate and stand for these words, and each party should take decisions. Now, we are speaking about the establishment of a movement for the struggle for democracy, he said.
