State Budget 2007 is the budget that meets interests of Azerbaijan, Ziyad Sammadzadeh, Chairman of the Permanent Commission for Economic Policy of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, has told journalists today, Trend reports.
Answering the question concerning non-objective expenses from the State Budget, Mr. Sammadzadeh said that checks had been conducted with this aim.
As to the checks, we said that such pieces of information were not grounded neither from a scientific nor methodological point of view. Figures cited in the press had been incorrect.
There is a structure of a fuel and energy balance, and the Government fixed a sum for power generated and exported from the country. I am responsible to say that there have been checks and we may continue them if necessary, said Mr. Sammadzadeh.
He also reminded that the figures cited by the Chairman of the Chamber of Account during his speech in the Parliament were just an opinion of one person, and the Chamber was not responsible for his words.
