Zakir Hasanov, the Commander of the Interior Troops of Azerbaijan, said in talks with journalists on 6 December 2006 that the improvement of service battle training of the Interior Troops is the result of the work done by officers of the Turkish Gendarmerie Forces within the Interior Troops, Trend reports.
Our relationship with the Turkish Gendarmerie Forces is not at a high level. We are proud that over the past several years the Interior Forces has had an opportunity to utilize the experience and work of the Turkish Gendarmerie. The present service battle activity, high level of training of the Interior Troops is a result of the labor officers of the Turkish Gendarmerie Forces. I express my gratitude personally, and on behalf of the officers, to the Commander-in-Chief of the Turkish Gendarmerie Forces, Ishik Koshaner. I hope in future the co-operation will be developed on a higher level, Hasanov stated.
