On 26 December 2006 the Ukrainian Prime Minister, Victor Yanukovich, has left for Baku with a one-day official visit.
Trend Special Correspondent in Ukraine reports that in this tour the Premier is accompanied by Ukrainian Minister for Fuel and Energy, Yuriy Boyko, the Minister for Economy, Vladimir Mazukha and Minister for Transport and Communications, Nikolay Rudkovskiy.
He is scheduled to pay tribute to the Former Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev memorial and the Cemetery of Martyrs.
Then he will have a meeting with the Azerbaijan Premier Artur Rasizade. He is expected to be received by Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev.
The talks will focus on possible transit of Azerbaijani oil via the territory of Ukraine.
