Greek Parliamentary Delegation Visit Commences in Baku

A visit of the parliamentary delegation of Greece to Baku commenced on January 23rd, Trend reports with referring to the Embassy of Greece in Azerbaijan.

The visit has been organized at the invitation of Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament). The delegation is headed by the co-chairman of the Greek-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Friendly Group, Maximos Harakopoulos. The delegation also includes three members of the Greek Parliament, Konstantinos Tsiaras, Antonis Karpouzas and Elpida Tsouri.

During the visit, the delegation plans to hold a number of meetings with the Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Oktay Asadov, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture, Teymur Mehdiyev and visit the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The Greek-Azerbaijani Inter-Parliamentary Friendly Group was created in May 2004 by the Azerbaijani side; the co-chairman of the group is the Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission on Social Policy, Hadi Rajabli.
