The Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Security is permanently involved in the legalization of labor activities of Azerbaijani citizens residing in Russia and interacts with social bodies of Russia, Trend reports.
Fizuli Alakbarov, the Minister for Labor and Social Security stated on January 26th that in Russia there is a great demand in workforce. However, Russia, like Azerbaijan, has also undertaken obligations set by the Council of Europe and other international organizations.
The immigration is an important problems worldwide. Russia has undertaken a commitment to struggle with illegal immigration and regulate this issue. The Government of Azerbaijan intends to render assistance for the rapid settlement of the problem, the Minister emphasized.
Some Azerbaijani citizens are working illegally in Russia. They lack of social security, and do not pay social insurance payments. After returning to Azerbaijan they will receive a small pension. We intend to regulate this issue. Russia is in a dilemma and will not be able to resolve the issue by April, the Ministers regretted.
In December 2006 there were 65,000 vacancies in the retail trade in Russia, while the present figure is 77,900.
