The information on destroying the Armenian graves in the territory of Julfa district of Nakchivan Autonomous Republic does not correspond to the reality and the European Parliament has not been presented firsthand information, said the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Great Britain, Rafael Ibrahimov, during the discussions in London within the international conference where he responded to the statement of the representatives of the Armenian Embassy in Great Britain on necessity of adoption of the relevant resolution by the European Parliament and sending mission to Julfa to study the situation, Trend reports with reference to the Embassy.
Azerbaijan Ambassador drew attention of the conference participants to the fact that the Azerbaijan historical monuments and mosques on the territory of Armenia are being destroyed and spoke about the genocide policy implemented by the Armenian nationalists against the Azerbaijanis, about Khojali genocide, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and million Azerbaijan refugees and internally displaced people who were thrown out from their native lands as a result of the Armenian aggression.
According to the information obtained from the Embassy of Azerbaijan, Ibrahimov in his speech at the conference Religious customs and innovations in former Soviet space: to revive or refuse them drew the attention of the participants to the religious history of Azerbaijan, tolerance for other religions and policy of State with regards to religious organizations.
