Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. K. Zarbaliyeva / The prisoners of the Gobustan Prison, who have recently gone on hunger-strike, keep on their action. Alizadeh Huseynov, the Chief the Gobustan Prison said today that the prisoners have no health problems. He also noted that the number of the prisoners, who are on hunger-strike had neither decreased nor increased. Mr. Huseynov expressed his concern about the health condition of a prisoner Dayanat Karimov, who had some stomach problems before the prisoner's declaring about their intentions
The prisoners has requested for Governmental guarantee. They will suspend the action if the Government provides them with guarantee.
Shakir Rzakhanov, Ali Guliyev, Dayanat Karimov, Elbrus Ibrahimov, Rahib Masimov, Ramil Gadirov, Yadigar Bahshaliyev, and Chingiz Pashayev, sentenced to life imprisonment demand to commute their sentences for 15-year imprisonment. Rashad Jafarov, sentenced to life imprisonment keeps on the protest.
