Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Zarbaliyeva / The Visit of Elchin Guliyev, the chief of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, to Switzerland has ended. The Azerbaijani Embassy in Switzerland reported that Guliyev was in the country from 12-14 July at the invitation of the head of the Frontier Protection Corps. The issues concerning cooperation between bodies of border protection of the two countries and joint participation in different training were discussed during the visit.
The sides agreed on joining efforts to develop bilateral relations. The Azerbaijani delegation visited Bazel, Viyel, Testa and Grigia border facilities. The delegation got familiarized with the Swiss border protection system. Moreover, the delegation got familiarized with the work and tasks of the SOFO group and the basic police group ENZIAN of Kanton Bern.
Guliyev invited his Swiss counterpart to Baku in September 2007.
