Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Agayeva / On 5 October, the Heads of the CIS member-states will come together in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan, to attend the next meeting of the Council of State Heads of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The meeting of the State Heads will be preceded by the meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled for 4 October in Dushanbe, a source stated in the CIS Executive Committee. The plans of the CIS Executive Committee in the coming months also include conducting the next meeting of the Economic Council due on 14 September in Moscow.
In the near future, the CIS experts will begin devising the agenda for each of three meetings. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has already made an official visit to Tajikistan in March 2007 and currently the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, is expected to make a response visit.
