Sri-Lanka Wish to Purchase Crude Oil from Azerbaijan: Minister

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / Abdul Hamid Fowzie, the Oil and Oil Resources Development Minister of Sri-Lanka, has reported that Sri-Lanka is interested in importing of crude oil from Azerbaijan.

"We held discussions on a range of spheres, including cooperation in oil sector. With this aim we will invite Azerbaijani companies to Sri-Lanka," Minister said.

The meeting of the official guest will be held with Natik Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Energy Industry Minister, on 17 August. Sri-Lanka purchases crude oil from Iran by 2.5bln.
