Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseyinli / Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey, Zakir Gashimov, was appointed the embassy to Macedonia simultaneously, the press-service of the Embassy reported.
Gashimov visited Macedonia from 10 to 12 September. Within the framework of the visit Gashimov met with the deputy minister of Macedonia, Zoran Petrov.
The main issue discussed during meeting was the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. The Azerbaijani ambassador said that Azerbaijan hope for peaceful settlement of the conflict. Gashimov said that Azerbaijan sure that Macedonia will render assistance for settlement of the issue.
