Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend Z.Safarov / "The Azerbaijani Roman-Greco and freestyle wrestling national team was unable to realize its potential at the Senior Wrestling World Championship in Baku and we were expecting too much," Chingiz Huseynzade, the Vice President of the National Olympic Committee said in talks with Trend.

According to Huseynzade, this issue needs to be discussed in detail, but the reasons were actually linked to the sportsmen. "Rovshan Bayramov (55 kg) lost in his mother country. Of course, he was under physical pressure due to his debut fight with Roman Amoyan, an Armenian wrestler, but Rovshan's failure was also due to his nervous disposition after the change of coach prior to the championship. But there is time to analyze the situation and to improve. Rovshan and Vitaliy Ragimov the Europe 2005 champions, Namik Abdullaev (55kg) the Olympic winner, and other Azerbaijani wrestlers can improve their rank," Huseynzade said.
