Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 February / cor Trend I.Alizade / Baku is dissatisfied with the activities of international organizations which are involved in the release of POWs and captives.
"International organizations have not worked for the release of Azerbaijanis held captive in Armenia. They did not take decisive steps in this respect," Ali Hasanov, the head of the Public and Political Department of the Azerbaijani President's Executive Apparat, stated in talks with journalist on 5 February.
Samir Mammadov, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, who was captured by Armenia on 24 December 2006, has been transferred to a third country through mediation with international organizations. The name of the country has not been released.
Hasanov said that thousands of Azerbaijani's, both military and civilians, have been held hostage in Armenia for several years. "We respect the actions taken in connection with this particular case; however, we have no intention of hiding our serious dissatisfaction," he said.
According to Hasanov, Baku is dissatisfied with the work being done for the release of the Azerbaijani soldier, who was captivated by Armenia. "We are continuing talks with the international organizations in this connection," Hasanov said
