Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 April / Trend corr S. Agayeva/ Nobody is pursued for religion in Azerbaijan, Sheik-ul-Islam haji Allahshukur Pashazade, the head of the Caucasus Muslim's Clerical Office, said to journalists on 12 April.
"So far I have never witnessed any fact when a person was made answerable for his religion. People are made answerable only for the crimes they commit. And criminals should bear responsibility for the crimes irrespective of their religion," Sheik-ul-Islam said.
" Azerbaijan's tolerance is confirmed by the most popular organizations," he stressed.
