Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 April /corr. Trend G.Jabiyev / Ali Hasanov, head of the Public-Political Department of Azerbaijan Presidential Administration, has condemned the broadcasting of a program in Lider TV which insulted the honor and dignity of an opposition leader.
The Government has urged the media representatives, who form the public opinion, to act within the Moral Code, Hasanov stated while briefing the media on 25 April.
Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) intends to bring Lider TV to court because of the broadcasting of a program insulting the honor and dignity of APFP Ali Kerimli.
According to Hasanov, journalists have no right to insult the honor and dignity of others.
Late Abulfaz Elchibay, the ex-president of Azerbaijan, was the founder and chairman of APFP till 2000. Since 2000, the party is chaired by Ali Kerimli.
