Application for German Universities Announced in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 June / corr. Trend J.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani Education Ministry has announced application for the German universities within the framework of State program 'Azerbaijanis education in foreign countries in 2007-2015', adopted on 16April 2007 by the Azerbaijani President's order, the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, Azerbaijani students studying B.Sc in their 2nd and 3rd years, who have scored minimum 550 points during the entrance test exams to the universities of exact sciences and 600 points on other sciences, are welcomed by the Ministry to appeal to complete their B.Sc in Germany.

The Azerbaijani B.Sc students in their last (4th ) year and  M.Sc students in their 1st year, who have  collected minimum 70 points during the test exams to receive M.Sc on exact sciences and 80 points on other sciences, can appeal for M.Sc studies in Germany.

The interested must present to the Education Ministry an application, a special form available at the  Education Ministry, a letter of recommendation (a special form available at the Ministry of Education to be filled by the professors and teachers of universities where the applicant is studying), a reference of the State  Commission on Students Admission (SCSA) on points scored during the entrance exams, a copy of the student's record book, issued by the university and confirmed by the Notary's office and translated into English or German, a copy of personal data and 6 photographs (3.5x4.5sm). The deadline for application is 17 June.

The priority spheres of education for Azerbaijani youth abroad are industry, information and communication technologies, agriculture, transportation, building, education, medicine, culture, law, service and governmental regulation.
