Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 September /corr. Trend R.Novruzov / Heydar Aliyev Foundation presented two new projects їWorld of Uzeyirї (Azerbaijani composer) and їEncyclopedia of Mugamї (national music of Azerbaijan).
їUzeyir Hajibeyov gave the second life to Mugam, creating an invaluable work,ї Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Good-Will Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, First Lady of Azerbaijan, said during the presentation of the new project of the Foundation.
She said that Hajibeyov created such a miracle like opera on the basis of Mugam, bringing fame to the national music of Azerbaijan all over the world.
Being founder of the opera art in the East, Hajibeyov also was enlightener, publicist and pedagogue of his period, Mehriban Aliyeva said.
This year, UNESCO marked 100th anniversary of pearl of opera art of Azerbaijan їLeyli ve Mejnunї, written by Hajibeyov.
Project їWorld of Uzeyirї is our civil duty before his heritage, the First Lady of Azerbaijan said.
The second project of Heydar Aliyev Foundation is їEncyclopedia of Mugamї which included Azerbaijani Mugam in performance of outstanding masters of the 20th century.
The presentation was attended by popular masters of art and culture.
