Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 24 / Trend / Simurg football club player Sergey Sokolov has been invited to the Azerbaijani national squad, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) told Trend .
Sokolov will replace Neftchi club captain Zaur Tagizade.
Azerbaijani national squad will receive training in Frankfurt on March 2 to 5. Chief coach Berty Vogts decided to replace Tagizade with Sokolov in Germany.
Sokolov was first invited to the national team during Shain Diniyev's leadership.
Azerbaijani team will take on Russian team as a part the World Cup-2010 selection round on March 28. The match will take place in Luzhniki stadium in Moscow.
