MSU Baku Branch announces students' admission for 2009-2010 academic year

The M.V.Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) Baku Branch announced students' admission for 2009-2010 academic year on bachelor specialists, including philology (25 vacancies), applied mathematics (25 vacancies) and chemistry (25 vacancies). Moreover, there are 25 vacancies at the psychology faculty (25 vacancies).

On Jan. 15, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to open a branch of MSU in Baku.

The branch's curriculum will be based on MSU programs.

Students will be taught by MSU staff. Graduates will receive MSU diplomas.

Only school-leavers gaining over 400 points at the test examinations conducted by the SSAC can partake in the entrance tests for admission committee set up by MSU. Those who wish to study at the Faculty of Philology and psychology have to pass oral and written, on the faculty of mathematics and chemistry - only the written test.
 
Moreover, school-leavers scoring over 400 points who finished the Azerbaijani sector with "excellent" mark on the Russian language can also partake in the entrance exams.

Those wishing to enter the Baku branch of Moscow State University must submit a certificate, eight photographs (3x4), a certificate from the SSAC about the scored points and identity card. Documents will be accepted on July 8-23 at the Commission for Reception of documents at the Baku branch of MSU. Education at the MSU is free for the Azerbaijani citizens.
