Trial over employee of national deposition center begins

Trial began over employee of national deposition center under the Azerbaijan state committee on securities.
Deposition center head Javanshir Hajiyev gave evidence and condemned himself innocent on preferred accusation, the court told Trend on June 12.
Hajiyev said that he had information about shortage of state privatization cheques. He said that he applied to leadership on this issue and leadership set down to check-up.
Shortage of state privatization cheques was revealed as a result of check-up. Investigation operation was conducted, Hajiyev said.
"As a result I was also detained. But I am not guilty," he said.
Court process will continue on June 19.
Hajiyev is accused of article 179.3.2 (misappropriation or embezzlement with great damage) of the Criminal Code.
It was revealed during joint investigation conducted by department on combat with corruption under Prosecution General and State Committee that Hajiyev using office privileges misappropriated and robbed funds in the amount of 861.973,9 manat, i.e. 193,702 state privatization cheques in deposition treasury (48.425,5 state privatization cheques).
Investigation was launched on the case filed on March 5, 2009. As a result Hajiyev was arrested.
