Accused of an attempt to cross the border illegally in Azerbaijan, the Turkish businessman asked the Ombudsman to provide him the opportunity to meet with family.
Today, during a visit to Baku detention center, the representatives of the Ombudsman met with Turkish businessmen Huseyn Arabul, who is detained in the center, the press-service of Office of the Ombudsman told Trend on July 8.
Arabul asked to help him meet with his family. He expressed dissatisfaction with the conditions of detention.
Arabul was accused of Article 318 (attempt to cross state border illegally). Court sentenced him to two months in prison.
In 2007, Arabul was sentenced to five conditional years in prison and fine of 1,370,000 manat. He cannot leave Azerbaijan until the sentence term expires.
