Iranian Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, has sent a letter to the Foreign Ministries of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan. The minister officially protested against the quadrilateral meeting in Aktau.
"After the information about the participation of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in the Aktau summit, these countries' ambassadors in Tehran called to the Iranian Foreign Ministry. Besides, Iranian Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, has sent a protest letter to the four countries' Foreign Ministers," the ministry's press-service said, Iranian Fars news Agency reported.
Official or unofficial, consultation and other types of the quadrilateral meetings and non-inviting one of the countries can lead to irreversible negative attitude, the letter said. In addition, similar actions give reason for unilateral solution of the problem, aroused, the letter said.
